CHILD & FAMILY AGENCY
|
||
The Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut assists children and families-at-risk. Our programs deal with the treatment of child abuse, the prevention of family violence, teen pregnancy, children’s health care, child care, parent education, and children's mental health. With an annual operating budget of $10 million, our staff of nearly 162 dedicated professionals last year served over 11,000 children in 27 service centers across 67 towns of eastern New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties. The Agency is the largest private, non-profit children's service provider in southeastern Connecticut. With a heritage dating from 1809, our social service programs are funded by individuals, state departments, federal agencies, civic organizations, foundations, and United Ways. Our 600 auxiliary members generously volunteer their time and talent caring for children, supporting fundraising events and participating in education services. New auxiliary members and donors are always welcome. Child & Family Agency programs are available to all residents of Middlesex and New London counties. Fees for service reflect our costs. A sliding fee scale assures that no one will be excluded or refused assistance for financial reasons. |
